We went to the Galapagos islands, Ecuador!!!!!
This was another dream. I hadn’t been able to go in 2010, it was way too expensive for my little budget. This year, after reading, hearing, seeing so much about it from friends and other bloggers who had been there, we decided that it was our turn! From Cusco, where we were last, we took a 20-hour bus to Lima, another 30-hour one to Guayaquil and finally one last 6-hour one to Quito where my friends Rosario and Luis hosted us. We had booked the flights only 1 and 1/2 months earlier with TAME (supposedly one of the most expensive airlines but we found round-trip tickets for U$447/each) and flew out to the islands on August 19.
